Prosthetics

Prosthodontics, also known as dental prosthetics or prosthetic dentistry is the dental specialty pertaining to the diagnosis, treatment planning, rehabilitation and maintenance of the oral function, comfort, appearance and health of patients with clinical conditions associated with missing or deficient teeth and/or oral and maxillofacial tissues using biocompatible substitutes.

Quality, function and aesthetics are the criteria to which particular attention should be paid when selecting your new dentures. We are using only best dental laboratories for these high quality jobs.

Ceramic facets
The facets guarantee for the effect of the tooth’s natural look since they are made of thin layers of ceramic materials providing for the adjustment of the facet colour to the colour of the neighbouring healthy/not-treated teeth. In comparison to composite facets, porcelain facets look nicer and more natural, and are more colour stable.

Crowns
Crowns can be made from porcelain, porcelain fused to metal, or a full gold crown. To maintain a natural look and feel a porcelain finished crown is best, as it can be matched to the shade of your other teeth. This will allow it to blend in and appear just like one of your natural teeth.

Ceramic bridge
The metal ceramic bridge (known as the porcelain fused to metal bridge) has been a stalwart in the dental world for many years. This dental bridge has been worn by countless numbers of people and is considered a strong and resilient type of bridge. Other options are all ceramic bridges, such as zirconia bridges which are metal free and prized for their translucent appearance.

Removable partial denture
A removable partial denture is a denture for a partially edentulous patient who desires to have replacement teeth for functional or aesthetic reasons and who cannot have a bridge (a fixed partial denture) for any number of reasons. This type of prosthesis is referred to as a removable partial denture because patients can remove and reinsert it when required without professional help.
